Waithera Gaitho is the Founder and Executive Director of Alternatives Africa (Alternatives), an Accelerator for youth-owned micro and small enterprises. As the co-project lead she brings on board over ten (10) years of progressive work experience in the non-profit (9 years) and the profit (8 years) sectors. As a youth enterprise expert and enthusiast, she brings to the team her vast experience in the youth employment and enterprise development sector which includes her dedicated interactions with Kenya’s young entrepreneurs as well as a youth enterprise public/private sector liaison in both the public and private sector mostly through her contribution as an active member of the private sector apex business organizations namely, Agriculture Sector Network (ASNET) and the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) where she sits in both the Governing Councils, as well as the KEPSA representative to the UN Global Youth Programme, Generation Unlimited.
