Jean Baptiste Nsengiyumva

Senior Research Fellow, IPAR-Rwanda - Urban Governance Rwanda

Holds a PhD in Geo-Information Sciences and Earth Observations jointly from the consortium of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and the University and the University of Twente in the Netherlands (UCAS-China and Universtat Twente/Holland). He has over 10 years’ experience in research and has worked for the Rwanda Housing Authority, the Ministry of Disaster Management and Refugees, Ministry of Education (HEC), IGAD Climate Prediction & Applications Centre, IRST, University of Rwanda, Rwanda Meteorology Agency, and a World Bank Consultant prior to joining IPAR. He has led different research projects including the policy engagement of the Secondary cities project in Rwanda.
